The USATF Pacific Foundation provides grants for help with training and competition to United States Olympic hopefuls competing in track & field and race walking. The grant is named in memory of a founder and former president of the Foundation, George Kleeman. George dedicated much of his time and financial assets in the creation of a grant program to benefit athletes and coaches in the Pacific Association. George passed away in 2018 but his legacy lives on in all parts of USA Track and Field.
The USATF Pacific Foundation will award up to $15,000 in training grants to eligible athletes.
Athletes must be a member of the PAUSATF when they submit their application, demonstrate financial need, have met the performance standard listed in the pdf application, and intend to compete in 2022. Athletes who are close to standard are encouraged to apply as we will award grants based on an athlete’s potential beyond the 2022 competitive season.
The application deadline is May 20, 2022. The selection committee will notify applicants, by email, of award decisions on June 1, 2022. The 2022 marathon grant program will be announced in the fall.
